Delete your account

Last updated 10 October 2026

This page deletes a DendroLog account and everything in it. It is where “Delete my account” in the app’s menu leads, and it works the same from a phone or a computer. You need the account’s email address and password.

What is deleted

  • Every tree, with its history and notes.
  • Every photograph, including any the app could not tidy away when a tree or photograph was deleted with no signal.
  • Your areas, and the species you added yourself.
  • Your visitor codes. They are deleted first, so a code cannot be opened from the moment you start, and a visitor’s page already open stops showing your trees within a few minutes.
  • Your profile and your sign-in. The email address and password stop working.

It happens straight away, while this page is open, and cannot be undone. DendroLog keeps no backups that could bring it back.

What it cannot reach

  • The copy on a phone. The app keeps what it last showed, so it can work without signal. Remove the app afterwards and that goes too.
  • Work a phone has not sent yet. If a phone has been out of signal, open the app with signal first and let it send, or remove the app, before deleting. A phone still signed in can send for up to an hour afterwards, and anything it sends then can only be deleted by writing to hello@dendrolog.net.
  • Emails you sent to hello@dendrolog.net. Ask, and those will be deleted too.

Before you start

Make a backup first if you might want any of it again. It holds every record and every photograph, named for what it is, and is made so it can be put back into DendroLog. Or sign in below to download just the trees as a spreadsheet. Its links to photographs stop working once the account is deleted.
